Colin Angus may have designed the Angus Rowcruiser as a prank. Conceived it, built it, and sailed it to Alaska without spilling his beer—tricking everyone into thinking it’s easy. Since then, we’ve seen a great many wonderful calamities as people attempt to follow in Colin’s wake.
One of the latest is Bob. Bob is bringing 3 daggerboards. Bob has a decision tree for what happens when nature calls while sailing in a gale. Bob might not spill his beer either.

What’s the one piece of advice you’re absolutely going to ignore?
The only advice I think I’ve gotten so far is that this entire shenanigan adventure seems entirely bonkers and possibly dangerous. Well….. maybe, but I think I’m going to do it anyway.
What’s the story behind your boat?
I started building my angus row cruiser a few years ago thinking of the 2025 R2AK. Of course we all know the fate of the 2025 R2AK, but that worked out fine for me in the end as it has given me more time to perfect my systems and sail the boat in Hawai’i waters
